Sterling aka Faintheart
Allegiance: Decepticon
Subgroup: None
Function: Field Technician

"Here's something for the pain"

Profile: Sterling was constructed to be a repair technician and has an excellent understanding of theory. His grasp of the practical is almost as good, and is enhanced by his special ability. Sterling has the temperament of a follower and is usually unthinkingly loyal to his current commander, whoever they are. He is an effective enough warrior for a technician and battlefield repairs are his speciality. He is frequently mocked and ridiculed by other Decepticons about his "healing powers", sufficiently so that he takes the time to enjoy reminding them of their words when they are wounded and in need of his skills. Unlike most Decepticon technicians Sterling does not dissect Autobots for fun. He considers that a waste of supplies, and prefers to break his captives apart bare-handed.

Abilities: Sterling is a Hunter, standing a head and a half taller than the average-build Seeker. He possesses strength and endurance in proportion to his greater size and armour. He can reach a top speed of 1200 mph. He is equipped with twin arm-mounted rifles which fire projectiles that explode on impact and twin air-to-air missile launchers. Sterling carries a variety of repair implements for combat and repair purposes, including a high-powered stun pistol capable of immobilizing an opponent at close range. Sterling can repair damage to himself or another, either by boosting another mechanism's internal repair systems or by reconstructing damages using temporary energy-based subatomic repair particles. He has an excellent grasp of the theories and practices relating to the construction and repair of Cybertronians and a strong understanding of where and how physical weaknesses occur. He is also unusually fuel-efficient.

Weaknesses: Sterling's combat training has focused mainly on shooting from a distance. In close combat, his size is more to his advantage than his repair tools. Sterling's tendency to be distracted from combat to remind his tormentors of their words leaves him open to attack. He also suffers from faulty gyros in jet-mode, leaving him uncertain which way is up.
