Profile: Convoy Cardinal has reached the age where promotion to the rank of Optimus is looking unlikely. He's not concerned by this; Cardinal is more than happy to live out his existence as a scholar and a scientist rather than as a leader or explorer. Cardinal loves science and often daydreams about discoveries that will revolutionize life on Cybertron, bringing new and greater prosperity to his home-world and his species. Although he is not a leader of people, Cardinal possesses a great warmth and depth of compassion on an individual level. He is both amiable and kindly and, where he sees suffering, will quietly and unassumingly seek to help. He is a passionate advocate of equality between Maximals and Predacons, and particularly close friends with Optimus Tidal.

Abilities: Convoy Cardinal is a highly skilled scientist and researcher, and possesses a brilliant vision and insight into a diverse range of fields. His data collation and interpretation skills are razor-sharp, and he has considerable technical skill. His vehicle mode, based on one of the native creatures of Colony Alexandria, is designed to traverse hostile environments and take a wide spectrum of scientific readings. He is equipped with precision manipulators which can be deployed in either mode. His sensor spectrum is so wide that he can navigate by sight, sound, touch, smell, radar, vibration-sensitivity or electromagnetic mapping. A native of the hostile Colony Alexandria, Cardinal is immune to radiation damage and corrosive gasses, and unperturbed by low-visibility or dangerous navigational situations. In vehicle mode, he is armed with two stun-rifles which can temporarily paralyse an opponent without causing them physical harm. In robot mode, he can convert to an attack form which makes use of these rifles.

Weaknesses: Cardinal is slow-moving by design and cautious by nature, and his armour is not particularly tough, especially in robot mode. He has no significant close-range combat skills. His compassion for all living things and his passion for equality make him somewhat blind to the capacities of the truly unpleasant.
