PRIMUS Primus |
Primus becomes Cybertron and creates Prima, instilling his first creation with the Matrix [G1 comics, Legacy of Unicron/The Void. Since Primus and Unicron agree they're either telling the truth or there's a conspiracy. Primus is obviously lying when he says Cybertron was a barren asteroid when he arrived]. Primus commits genocide against the native organic race of Cybertron, burying them beneath Cybertron's metal skin [G1 comics, Demons/Dawn of Darkness]. |
PRIMA Prima 1 Prima 2 |
Prima is the first Prime [ala G1, G2]. Prima leads the first five Firstforged and the Second Generation during the Platinum Age. The Second Generation explore Cybertron too thoroughly and disturb the demons, who rampage across their invaded world slaughtering all before them. Primus creates the seventh through tenth Firstforged as warriors to defend his children. Prima calls upon Primus to aid them; through the Matrix, Primus creates the good creatures [G1 comics, Dawn of Darkness] who halt the demon tide. Prima sacrifices his own life to unleash the power of the Matrix and defeat the demons, re-burying them beneath Cybertron's surface. Prima's body is destroyed by the good creatures in their frenzied grief. The good creatures are exiled to Cybertron's most distant moon and nothing more is heard of them ever again. |
VECTOR PRIME |
The thirteenth of the Firstforged, known only as The Fallen, succumbs to the lure of Unicron and summons his new master to Cybertron. The Firstforged chose a second-generation spawnling of Alaro to be the new Matrix bearer. The Matrix enhances Vector Prime's native teleportation power to the point that he is able to trap Unicron within a black hole and seal The Fallen in underspace [War Within: Dark Ages, Collector's Club]. The power of the Matrix drives Vector Prime mad and he tears a swath across space and time. Eventually the Firstforged subdue him and physically tear the Matrix from his body. Returned to sanity but still infused with Matrix energy, Vector Prime is condemned to spend the rest of his existence combatting Unicron alone, and was sent into exile beyond this universe. |
PRIME NOVA Prime Nova |
Prime Nova becomes second Prime after Prima's death. Quintessons invade Cybertron, subjugate the Transformers and convert them into a race of slaves [no supporting evidence, contradicts G1 cartoon but is only way to make both histories connect]. Their conquest is facilitated by the outbreeding of the Transformers - the continued budding [ala G2] which causes the life-force of each subsequent generation to be watered down until the new generations are little better than clever drones. Quintessons kill or capture Prime Nova and take the Matrix from him to use in various experiments. Quintessons conduct experiments in blending the lineages of the Firstforged, producing mixed sparklines [ala Dreamwave War Within: Dark Ages]. Prima's first spawnling is chosen by the remaining Firstforged to become the new Prime. Most of the Firstforged either leave for deeper space or go into torpor deep within Cybertron. None are ever seen alive again. Under Prime Nova Cybertron enters the Silver Age, a time of growth and cultural expansion, but also unlimited population growth. Outbreeding reduces the majority of the popluation to the level of smart drones. The Quintessons invade Cybertron, following in the wake of Unicron. They subjugate the entire Transformer race, slaughtering millions, and turn the planet into a massive factory dedicated to producing saleable slave robots [G1 cartoon, Five Faces of Darkness]. Prime Nova is killed and the Matrix seized by the Quintessons. |
PRIMACRON'S ASSISTANT Primacron's Assistant The Matrix |
Quintesson experiments with Cybertronian life-giving technology using Vector Sigma create Cybertronian life such as first-generation product A3 aka Alpha Trion. If Primacron's Assistant was involved with the Matrix, it was probably at this time. The Quintessons discover Vector Sigma, a pre-Primus relic of the demon race. They experiment with it and produce the first Sigmoid Transformers, including A3. |
A5, aka ALPHA PRIME A5 |
Quintesson experiments with the Matrix create Cybertronian life including this Matrix bearer. He remains a slave under Quintesson rule for his entire life. The Quintessons experiment with the Matrix, discovering that its power is inimical to their bodies. They use it to create new Cybertronian life, including the first-generation product A5. This 'slave Prime' is a Quintesson subject for his entire life. Cybertronians of the First War period give him the posthumous title of Alpha Prime, believing him to have been the first Prime. He is killed by the Quintessons when they remove the Matrix for another purpose. |
T7, aka TEMPESTAS PRIME The creation of T7 T7 in combat |
The Matrix is passed to a new bearer for reasons unknown. Given that this occurs under Quintesson auspicies, anything is possible. If the Quintessons were aware of the connection between the Matrix, Primus/Cybertron and Unicron, and as is suggested the Quintessons serve or seek to aid Unicron, it possible they may have installed the Matrix in a gladiator in hopes of corrupting it. This Matrix bearer rebels against his Quintesson masters and is killed, but becomes a martyr to the growing slave rebellion. The Quintessons begin to understand the connection between Cybertron and the Matrix. Experiments in life-force recycling lead to the creation of twentieth-generation product T7, who is fitted with the Matrix and forced to fight against other Transformers in hopes of corrupting the Matrix. T7 rebels and attacks his Quintesson masters. He is killed, but his death is witnessed by his opponent, S19, who spreads the story amongst other slaves. T7 becomes a martyr to the growing rebellion. Cybertronians of the First War give him the posthumous title of Tempestas Prime. The Matrix is taken from his dead body by the Quintessons. |
G29, aka GUARDIAN PRIME Guardian Prime at the beginning of the First War Guardian Prime at the end of the First War |
The Matrix is probably taken by the rebelling slaves and given to one of their leaders, who leads them until the Quintessons are evicted from Cybertron. Tensions between Autobots and Decepticons lead to the Second War. This Prime appears to have been killed during Decepticon attacks at the beginning of the Second War. The rebelling slaves take the Matrix from the Quintessons and give it to one of their leaders, the seventh-generation product G29. He helps A3 lead the Cybertronians to victory and the expulsion of the Quintessons from Cybertron. He takes the title of Guardian Prime and rules over the Brass Age. An exploration of Cybertron's most distant moon reveals inscriptions redating Quintesson rule and revealing fragments of the story of Primus to the newly-freed Cybertronians. This "new old religion" is accepted by many wishing to reject their slave inheritance. Tensions rise between the Autobots and Decepticons, and the Second War breaks out. Guardian Prime is killed during the opening hostilities. |
ROADHEAT, aka FERVIDUS PRIME Fervorus Prime in combat |
This Chosen One becomes Prime, presumably the first free-built Prime since Prime Nova. He dies in combat with the Decepticons. The Matrix is passed to an Autobot named Roadheat when he shows strong Matrix sensitivity [due to being a Chosen One, unknown to anyone including himself]. He leads the Autobots during the Second War under the title Fervidus Prime and is killed in combat with the Decepticons. Fervidus Prime was a free-built mechanism and the first free-built Prime in living memory. |
UNNAMED PRIME Fervidus Prime passing Matrix to Unnamed Prime |
This mechanism recieves the Matrix from the dying Chosen One and becomes Prime for an apparently short period. |
SENTINEL PRIME Sentinel Prime Sentinel Prime in altmode Sentinel Prime being shot by Megatron Sentinel Prime passing Matrix to Alpha Trion |
This mechanism receives the Matrix and becomes Prime. Under his leadership the Autobots rediscover transformation, the technology having been disabled or kept secret by the Quintessons when they fled [contradicts G1 cartoon but may have some support in Beast Machines]. Stealth tactics and the ability to transform lead to an Autobot victory, and this Prime rules over the Golden Age of Cybertron [War Dawn: Megatron is a "new breed" of Decepticon, only recently created, ergo this mechanism can only have been killed by said new-built warlord within a short space of time beforehand]. Once S19, this mechanism was inspired by T7/Tempestas Prime's example to become a great leader. He becomes the next Prime after the death of Fervidus Prime's successor and leads the Autobots to victory. As Sentinel Prime he rules over the Golden Age. |
ALPHA TRION Alpha Trion just before creating Optimus Prime |
Alpha Trion receives the Matrix from the dying Prime and hides it for reasons known only to himself. During a Decepticon attack he saves the life of Orion Pax by giving him the Matrix for reasons known only to himself. Alpha Trion meets the Aerialbots for the second time, having met them 2 million years earlier whilst time-travelling [Forever is a Long Time Coming]. Possibly his recognition of these warriors of the future is what inspires him to save Orion Pax. His memories of the Aerialbots from this time are very likely what caused him to sacrifice his life to give them life in 1985 [Key to Vector Sigma: "Let me do what must be done."]. Alpha Trion, seeking to prevent the rise of a second pro-Primus Prime, conceals the Matrix in hopes of giving it to a suitable candidate who just so happens to believe in the omnipotence of Vector Sigma. |
OPTIMUS PRIME Orion Pax The newly-created Optimus Prime emerges from Alpha Trion's workshop |
Optimus Prime is created by Alpha Trion with the Matrix within him. He joins Iacon security and participates in the State Games [G1 comics, "State Games"]. When war breaks out, he joins the Autobot army but does not become supreme leader until the Autobots have started losing ground [G1 comics]. Recreated by Alpha Trion and set loose on an unsuspecting Cybertron, Optimus is the first Autobot warrior to be built in almost a million years and carries the Matrix which has been missing since Sentinel Prime's death. He joins the Iacon security forces, working for Ultra Magnus under the rule of Emirate Xaaron, and joins the Iaconian atheletic team during the State Games in hopes of getting his revenge on Megatron. After the Vos-Tarn War, his possession of the Matrix is discovered. His damaged memory prevents him from explaining how he came by it, and the Council of Autobot Elders order him to surrender it. |
EXCELSIUS PRIME Excelsius Prime passes the Matrix to Optimus Prime |
The Council of Autobot Elders give the Matrix to this mechanism [also a Chosen One], making him Excelcius Prime. He leads the pro-Primordialist northern Cybertronian states against the Decepticons, dying in combat and passing the Matrix back to Optimus Prime. |
DECIMUS PRIME
|
An ambitious Autobot general, Decimus, takes the Matrix from the comatose Optimus Prime and declares himself the new Decimus Prime. He leads a sweeping advance against the Decepticons but is destroyed in combat. Megatron uses the Matrix to give life to the super-heavy cruiser The Oblivion, creating Oblivicus. Optimus enters Oblivicus and retrieves the Matrix. Oblivicus crashes into Cybertron and explodes, throwing the planet out of orbit and causing the massive energon famine which finally leads to the launch of the Ark and the Nemesis. |
